Purpose and Mission Statements:

This Faith Based volunteer organization fulfills its overall purpose with two fundraisers and a support group.

Every  3rd Saturday in March is the Spaghetti Dinner & Auction. The first annual was held in 1997 at North Mecklenburg High School.

The First Annual Captain's Choice Golf Tournament, "Puttin' Fore a Purpose"  was held on Aug 20th of 2004.    Each year, the five Angels of '97 and other area children are honored at each hole with a hole dedication sign designed by parents and loved ones.

September 23rd 2004 marked the beginning of a new,  year round Support Group for parents who have lost children known as the Angels of 97 Ministries. The group meets in the North Mecklenburg area.

Why an Angels of '97 Memorial Scholarship?

The graduating class of 1997 from North Meck High School suffered the loss of several of its classmates. Between their 10th and 12th grades, this class lost 5 of their classmates to car accidents and illness. Family members as well as friends use a community involved spaghetti dinner to raise money to offer scholarships to North Meck Seniors.

A Support Group for parents who have lost children known as the Angels of 97 Ministries began in 2004.
